2020 Vision

2020 Vision is a media grant project designed to amplify & forward the deep work being done by the non-profit & charities right here in our hometown of Victoria.

We’re gifting 20 live broadcast events, over 20 months, to 20 local community-based organizations in order to help them reach more people, scale their message, capture some beautiful video, and build an expanded awareness of the cause they champion! 2020 Vision is our way of saying THANK YOU for all that you’re doing to make a more beautiful, just, compassionate, balanced and sustainable world.

In December 2017 we announced an open invitation to apply to receive one of the 2020 Vision grants, which are all-inclusive broadcast packages including the livestream team, the bandwidth, the online hosting, the venue (Sunset Labs, on the beautiful upper harbour of downtown Victoria), the operations staff, the sound & lighting & equipment, a tea service for the attendees – even the janitorial.

We received over 60 applications for the twenty grants available, and we’ve made our selections! Over the last 2 years we’ve been able to lift and amplify issues like proportional representation, creative communities, reconciliation, inquiry learning and youth education, food sustainability, government accountability, indigenous rights and so much more.
