Bonnie Davison is a BC Certified Teacher, Music Therapist, Forest School Practitioner, Permaculture Design Trainer, Founder of the Victoria Nature School Society and Founder of Singing English Education.

Bonnie is passionate about guiding educators and community leaders to think differently about our education system. Bonnie is excited to share the magic of Singing English Song-Games, which teaches educators how to use music and movement to create strong early literacy foundations and supportive classroom communities.

Bonnie loves sharing her passions of nature, music, & mindfulness, to help shift the way we look at traditional education so that learning communities provide children and educators the time, space, and support to explore their passions and gifts.

Event Summary

 
This training is for you if you are an ECE, K-Grade 2 classroom teacher, learning support or education assistant or work with children learning English as another language. Come learn how to create strong foundations for reading & writing success and inclusive and supportive learning communities!

Singing English Song-Games creates an authentic, inclusive learning environment where children feel safe to explore language without even realizing they are learning and creating foundations for reading and writing success!
 
TRAINING DATES:
Singing English Level 1: May 4, 2019 from 9:30am – 3:30pm PST.
Singing English Level 2: November 2, 2019 9:30am – 3:30pm PST.

In the Level 1 Training, participants will learn:
Powerful tools, techniques and easy to implement activities for using song-games to create a strong foundation for reading, writing, and speaking success. All activities can be used with children of all abilities and create a fun and inclusive learning environment.

In the Level 2 Training, participants will learn:
A deeper understanding of the connection between song- games and development of literacy skills. Sound to Symbol techniques such as song-maps, tapping & song-dotting. Developmentally appropriate language and literacy activities that are easy to implement both indoors and outdoors.

In both trainings, participants can follow along in the workbook provided, where you will have illustrated support materials for the song-games and activities being introduced throughout the day. By watching and participating from home, you will learn easy to use song-games and techniques that will enhance your current language arts program.

This individual digital ticket is perfect for educators who can’t attend this event in person.
