PAST EVENT
Hollyhock exists to inspire, nourish, and support people who are making the world better.
They offer 80+ programs and conferences each year to help you connect to yourself, nature, and community.
Their Cortes Island campus rests in the traditional and ancestral territories of the Klahoose, Tla’amin, Homalco Nations. They are committed to renewing our relationships with the First Nations peoples whose territories we are the current stewards of.
They also offer programming in Vancouver and other urban centres across North America. Vancouver programs are located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Solstice – the longest day of the year, when the sun shines the brightest. With the cancellation of many of our programs and deep uncertainty about when we they would be able to open again, Hollyhock was facing hard financial times. This event was in answer to the question “How do we turn this shadow into light, and embrace the expansive pause of this time to envision the world we really want to create?”
Solstice 2020 guest met the turning of the season with the radiance of many of our brilliant presenters and community. We celebrated at a day-long virtual Hollyhock-a-thon – showcasing music, movement, learning, and more!
Solstice Ritual at 2:43pm PT, while the sun is at its peak.
