PAST EVENT
The Canadian Psychedelic Association grew from a diverse group of individuals all wanting to do their part to usher psychedelics into the mainstream in a conscious and considered way. Their founding team includes people who have been active in Vancouver’s vibrant psychedelic community for decades, as well as medical and therapeutic professionals who are newer to the scene, but through their own experiences and research are waking up to the value of these powerful modalities.
In late 2019, they officially became a Canadian not-for-profit organization. They recognize the audacity of creating a national organization of this nature and at the same time feel that Canada is the perfect place for such an entity to be born. The professional psychedelic community is already well connected in Canada and there is opportunity to foster some real cohesion moving forward. They respect the incredible healing potential of these sacred substances, and hope to nurture a thriving community of people all dedicated to realizing the full potential of humanity.

In 1988, three visionary conservationists had a bold plan: to purchase and protect threatened rainforests and save endangered wildlife through community engagement and local partnerships.
Their vision became Rainforest Trust. And over 30 years later, our mission remains the same. With every acre, we’ve grown in scale, scope and determination. We’ve already helped protect over 37 million acres around the world and have millions of acres in the pipeline, working toward the security of 50 million acres.
But we don’t just see these acres as land for protection. We see these acres as home to countless species who rely on the habitats contained within. We see them as the backyards of thousands of people who rely on them for fresh water and food supplies. We see them as part of the fabric of this planet we live on.

Join us for a live medicine concert & chat with sacred music artists using their voices to raise money to buy rainforest in the Amazon.

And more coming!
All funds raised for this event will be donated to the Rainforest Trust to buy up land in the Amazon rainforest to protect it forever. Parts of the funds will also be donated to local Indigenous communities in the Amazon. Part of the funds raised will also be matched by generous donors from our community!
The Amazon rainforest is often described as the lungs of the planet, and it is also much more than that. The Amazon region nourishes our lungs with purified and crisp air, rain for our soil, and healing medicines for our soul. An endless ocean of biodiversity, traditions, and language resides in its rivers, soil, trees, roots, and peoples.
The Amazon is the heartbeat of Pachamama and it has selflessly loved us and fed us and our children for millions of years.
Every single day, wherever we live the Amazon influences our daily life and gives to us with unlimited kindness and benevolence. Today, the Amazon and its peoples need us more than ever to support and protect them from the forces of extractive industries.
It is time to give back in sacred reciprocity to help regenerate the region and its communities so they can thrive and grow into a new global paradigm where forests are not seen as resources, but as life itself.
The CPA stands in solidarity with all land defenders around the world protecting our priceless forests, rivers, and air from extractive industries and infinite growth mindsets. From Fairy Creek to the Amazon basin, we honour and send love and gratitude to all of those placing mind, body, and lives on the line to protect the sacred and interconnected web of life we owe our existence to.
